Delta Airlines Flight Cancellation Steps and Policy
If you have planned to travel somewhere and booked your flight tickets with Delta Airlines but unfortunately due to the unforeseen situation you have to drop the plan and now you want to cancel the flight you can do that online through the website of Delta Airlines. If you don’t know how to cancel a Delta Airlines flight you can follow the simple steps given below:
- Open any web browser in your device and go to the website www.delta.com
- On the top of the screen, you can see the option MY TRIPS, you need to click on that
- You can provide your Confirmation number or Card number used for the purchase or the ticket number along with your first and the last name and click on the red button to go.
- If you can see the number of different itineraries in your account select the flight you want to cancel
- You will be able to see the options change flight, cancel flight, etc. you have to click on cancel
Click on done your flight is canceled. There might be a cancellation charge if you cancel the flight, as per the Delta Airlines cancellation policy as mentioned below:
- All the flights can be canceled without cancellation fee within 24 hours of the booking time
- If booked with refundable/ flex ticket you can cancel anytime without cancellation fee 1 hour prior to the departure
- If booked with basic economy fares cancellation is not possible after 24 hours of booking
Also if you are traveling with a non-refundable ticket you will be charged for cancellation after 24 hours and also if canceled within 24 hours of flight departure.
